The most uplifting experience ... an absolute joy!
— Dayna

Music for Your Blues is an on-line performance series founded in January 2021. The series offers free-of-charge, pocket-sized personal musical performances over Zoom with the goal of improving wellness and connection. Performances are offered in the winter during the period known as January blues, hence the name! The sessions include live musical performances supported by material touching on spiritual, literary, and scientific topics that can lead to open and casual conversation between performer and listener.

Music for Your Blues intentionally focuses on offering free concerts—performances are listed online through a first-come-first-served lottery system. Performances are for the individual signing up and anyone in their household. MfYB focuses on small and intimate musical offerings in order to facilitate a safe space in which music can better serve as a cathartic avenue for improving the health and well-being of persons in need regardless of social, cultural, or financial means.

Since its inception, MFYB has shared more than 60 free performances with attendees streaming in from Taiwan, Korea, the US and from Canada, coast to coast. Music for Your Blues has been featured on Radio-Canada as part of a series promoting wellness projects across the nation. Past performances include the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Hassle Free Clinic Toronto, the Iqaluit Music Society, the Gitche Name Wikwedong Reconciliation Garden, and classrooms across Ontario.

The fourth edition of Music for Your Blues will go live on February 14, 2025 at 1pm ET! Show slots can be booked through the calendar below.
